Something Old, Something New…

The journey from conventional florist, to farmer, to farmer-florist, to wedding designer

When something old becomes new again. It’s the feeling of excitement of what’s to come. The feeling of eagerness to get going. The feeling of joy captured in moments of time, that are grow into beautiful memories.

These photos were taken over ten years ago. The moments captured in time, telling a story of love that simply creates joy for my heart as I think about my couples who have honored me with their trust to bring beauty to their little corner of the world on their wedding day.

And so, now is the time to rekindle this joy. Now is the time to be of service to clients who are seeking the unique, the romantic, and the whimsical.

I can’t wait to reopen this portion of my business, allowing creativity to flow, beauty to be created, and love to bloom. Only this time, the approach will be different. While leveraging my previous life as a floral designer, I’m completely committed to bringing this back ethically, supporting local flowers grown not only on my own farm, but from my fellow farmers who share the same vision.

I can’t wait to see the look on bride’s faces as they see their vision come together. I can’t wait to witness love between two people who are so deeply connected, they often speak without saying a word. I can’t wait to play with textures, colors, and sensations as I approach this reawakening of creativity that I have so desperately missed.

That first look as couples get a peek of their partner on such a momentous celebration.  That feeling that only they know as they share their love for each other with the rest of the world. Knowing that this time is a time for only the two of them, and all the preparation that came before the culmination of this moment has paid off.  The moment of relief when they realize it’s now just the two of them, their guests, and a really amazing party to come!

And I can’t wait to share it with my fellow wedding vendors, who tireless work to create the beauty, the memories, and the joy for couples. A special thanks to Amanda Lock of Amanda Lock Photography who trusted me over ten years ago, and partnered with me on collaborations, weddings, and who became not only a friend, but a constant cheerleader.

I look forward to working with others who are as heavily vested in their couple’s happiness. The ones who go above and beyond to bring joy on the day two people celebrate their love. The ones who are willing to pitch in to get it done, lend an extra hand, and create lasting memories that bloom for a lifetime. I promise each of my couples to perform at this caliber for them, and knowing that I will catch all the balls that are up in the air. And I promise my fellow vendor team the same, and we push as a unified effort to bring our craft to each event, bringing the vision to life.
